Something new :)

Some time has passed since our graduation from the Teacher Training College, and I've decided to tell those of you that I haven't met for a long time what my life looks like right now. I'm still studying English (IFA) and I really enjoy it! I've just finished the course on the English phraseology and the holistic approach to teaching. I don't have any exams right now, so I'm having a ball at home, preparing for my wedding - I'm going to choose the wedding dress in two weeks! I just can't wait to do it!! Besides, I've started learning Spanish and, to my mind, it's a wonderful and rather easy language. Just look:

Hola! Me llamo Basia y soy estudiante de filologia inglesa. Me gusta con locura bailar y cantar y no me gusta nada la comida rapida, porque es rica en calorias. De momento estoy muy feliz! Besos!!

Does anyone know what is written above? ;) Check it!
Regards! :)))

Five years from now...

It seems quite difficult for me to give an account of a day in five years' time, but I'll try anyway. :) So, it is Thursday. I wake up at 6 o'clock (actually it's my husband and daughter who usually wake me up ;)), have a tasty breakfast, and go to one of secondary schools in Wroclaw so as to teach English, of course;)! I finish work at 1 o'clock and, go home to prepare dinner and after that I go shopping with my sister-in-law, who lives very nearby, but we don't have very much time as, both being teachers of English, we both have private lessons in our flats. When my husband comes home from work (he works as a travel agent), he eats dinner, and my mother-in-law, who has been taking care of our little daughter for several hours, can go home. In the evening I spend my time with my family, and call my mum, who lives in Mogilno to give her an account of my busy day. :) I'm just happy!:)

The American President

I was supposed to share my opinion on Obama with you, and, honestly, I've got a problem here. I've never been into politics AT ALL, and I've also never trusted any politician... Obama is not an exception to this rule ;) I've got nothing to write-I only hope he will be a good president, and will make informed choices ;) that'd be all I guess...

My teaching practice

When I was more or less 10, I decided to study English. Unbelievable? But true ;) As soon as I've got into this college, I wanted to be a teacher of English; I was quite sure of that. And when my first lesson came, I was so stressed out that I thought I wouldn't make it. But, in the end, my supervisor was satisfied with the lesson. So was I. I was nervous just before it, but when the class came in, it all disappeared and I was relaxed and calm. I liked it a lot and I still want to be a teacher. :) Now I can see how hard this job is - I've never really thought about it: preparation, stress, etc., but it's worth it! There's only one thing I would definitely change: the salary ;)

My memories

Today I'll write a little bit about my childhood and Christmas that I used to have. In the first picture I'm sitting on Santa's laps (he he I wasn't afraid at all) and I was six then. When I think of my Christmas I remember waiting for the supper and Santa. By an odd coincidence my grandma wasn't there when he was coming. Later I found out that she dressed up and it was she who was this Santa. ;) I really liked Christmas as a child. Each year I would look for presents and one year I managed to find one! And in the second picture you can see me colouring - I really was into it!

Have you heard of...

...Mamma Mia? If not, this is a great opportunity for you to do so! ;) I've watched the movie four times so far and think it's incredible. :) It's the story of Sophie who is getting married and doesn't know who her father is. One day she finds her mother's diary and finds out she's got three "possible" fathers. She decides to invite all three of them to the wedding and the whole fun begins :-)

I really recommend this movie :)

Faith makes all things possible,
Hope makes all things work,
Love makes all things beautiful,
May you have all the three for this Christmas.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! :)

Enya

Now I'd like to tell you something about my favourite singer, she's the best singer ever for me - Enya. Her voice is so soothing and I've been fond of her songs since my childhood. The song I want you to listen to has a special connotation for me. When I listen to it, my sister's wedding comes to my mind... I just love it :)
Just listen to it:

For now that's all, but if you want to see some Enya's clips - visit my blog later :)

sad.

Today I'm not in the best mood. Why? Because my boyfriend has just gone to Poznań (work) and I'm in Mogilno and I won't be seeing him for a week :( and, what's more, we've seriously fallen out with our flatmates and he'll be left alone with them... can't be in a good mood!

My town

I'm supposed to write something about my hometown, so here you've got a few words about that. I come from a small town - Mogilno. It's located between Gniezno and Inowrocław. As you probably think, there are both advantages and drawbacks of living in a town like mine. There aren't so many people here , hence everybody knows everything about other people, which can be really annoying!! Personally, I just hate it when someone comments on what I do, but it's unavoidable in such a small town :( Next, there aren't many things you could do here. There's only one cinema and, apart from it, nothing else: no theatre, no opera, etc. You might find my town quite boring if you're not keen on staying at home. ;) But, there is one thing I love about my town - here time passes by very slowly and you don't have to be in a hurry all the time. You could really relax here, in my opinion. I recommend it for a holiday :)

Hello

Welcome to my blog :)
